• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional health to identify their needs and challenges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans after thorough evaluation, aiming to provide a roadmap toward achieving clients' therapeutic goals.
• Deliver one-on-one and couples therapy sessions remotely, utilizing evidence-based methods to address a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and trauma.
• Facilitate couples therapy focused on improving communication and helping partners navigate conflicts constructively.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and session summaries to support therapeutic outcomes.
• Monitor clients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to align with their evolving needs.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, which may include psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Provide timely crisis intervention to clients in acute distress, ensuring safety and support during emergencies.
• Participate in professional development by engaging in training opportunities that enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health therapy.
• Promote and uphold ethical standards in therapy, maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to all legal guidelines in practice.
• Advocate for clients’ rights, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment options and access additional resources.
• Encourage clients to focus on self-care and wellness practices to enhance their overall recovery process.
• Effectively leverage remote therapy tools and platforms to ensure a secure and confidential virtual environment for clients.

Your work as a mental health therapist at Sequoia will encompass a diverse population, including adolescents, adults, and couples. The clients you support may be dealing with a range of mental health issues such as stress, depression, anxiety disorders, and interpersonal relationship challenges. By providing individualized care, you will play a pivotal role in helping your clients achieve their mental health goals and improve their quality of life.

• A valid and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is mandatory.
• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is essential.
• Strong capability in providing individual and/or couples therapy is required.

• Experience in a remote therapy setting is highly desired, with a proven ability to adapt to digital communication platforms.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is beneficial.

Sequoia Healthcare Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, new hires will receive a sign-on bonus of $3,000. Our benefits package includes:
