What is a Remote ABA job?

A Remote ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) job involves providing virtual behavioral therapy to individuals, often children with autism or developmental disabilities. Therapists use video conferencing and online tools to conduct sessions, monitor progress, and guide families or caregivers. This role typically requires certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Remote ABA professionals develop treatment plans, implement interventions, and track client progress while ensuring effective therapy in a virtual setting.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote ABA Therapists, and how can they be addressed?

Remote ABA Therapists often encounter challenges such as maintaining engagement with clients virtually, managing technology-related issues, and ensuring effective communication with families or caregivers. Overcoming these obstacles typically involves leveraging interactive digital tools, setting up clear routines, and working collaboratively with the client's support network to reinforce strategies outside of sessions. Regular supervision, ongoing training, and peer consultation can also help address difficulties and improve remote session outcomes. Adapting to these aspects is essential for providing consistent, high-quality support to clients in a telehealth environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Aba position, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapist, you should have a background in psychology or a related field, with formal training in ABA principles and a relevant certification such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms, data collection software, and telehealth compliance standards is crucial. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills help build rapport with clients and coordinate effectively with families or care teams. These abilities are vital for delivering high-quality, client-centered behavioral interventions in a remote setting.

Job description

The Role This is a remote position focused on growing our client base through two channels: building referral relationships with pediatricians, diagnosticians, schools, and other community partners, and reaching families directly to connect them with our services. Your goal is to be the bridge between the community and our intake team — whether a family comes to us through a trusted partner or finds us on their own.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and build relationships with pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, schools, and community organizations
  • Reach and engage families directly through community outreach, events, online channels, parent groups, and word of mouth
  • Educate both referral sources and prospective families about our ABA services, intake process, and what sets us apart
  • Maintain regular contact with existing partners and families to keep new clients coming in
  • Track outreach activity and outcomes across both channels, and report on what's working
  • Coordinate with the intake/clinical team to ensure smooth handoffs for new families

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in healthcare business development, community outreach, or referral marketing — ideally in ABA, behavioral health, pediatrics, or a related field
  • A track record of generating clients or leads, both through referral partners and direct outreach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
  • Understanding of the autism/ABA landscape, including referral and authorization basics

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and professional discretion around sensitive information
  • Reliable transportation for occasional in-person partner visits or events

Compensation & Benefits This is a full-time, salaried W2 position with benefits, We are offering competitive rates for the right candidate.

To Apply Submit your resume and a brief note about your experience building referral relationships and bringing in clients.
