Heart and Mind Therapeutic Intervention, LLC is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist to join our compassionate team. This full-time remote position involves providing essential mental health services, particularly to individuals who have experienced trauma. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will play a vital role in supporting our clients' recovery journeys.

Our outpatient telehealth services are designed to meet the unique mental health needs of our clients, focusing on conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, we aim to empower our clients in their paths to healing.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to deliver therapy from the comfort of your home. Our telehealth facility equips you with cutting-edge technology and support, enabling seamless communication with clients and colleagues from anywhere. While maintaining a flexible schedule is encouraged, core working hours typically fall within Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some adjustments may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s background and treatment requirements.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans centered on the principles of trauma recovery and resilience building.
  • Utilize evidence-based methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapeutic outcomes.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, creating supportive spaces for clients to process their experiences and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for every patient.
  • Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to ensure our clients receive immediate support when needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on clients who have been impacted by various forms of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges, experience healing, and achieve personal goals. Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.
  • Expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies is essential.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
