Our clinic operates seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, allowing for a diverse range of scheduling options to fit your lifestyle. • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, aiming to understand each patient's unique trauma history for effective treatment planning.
• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, enhancing coping strategies, and fostering healing among patients.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in trauma-related emergencies, showcasing your ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while adhering to industry regulations.
• Engage in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and case consultations focused on the best practices in trauma-informed care.
• Stay current with ongoing research and emerging trends in trauma therapy to provide the best possible care.

As a counselor within our community health clinic, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals experiencing various trauma-related disorders. Our clients come from all walks of life, facing unique challenges that require sensitivity and specialized therapeutic approaches. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) within the state of Maryland.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to maintain composure and deliver effective intervention in high-stress situations.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in required computer applications.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• A strong desire to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including participation in ongoing training and development.
• Behavioral health generalist skills that include a willingness to work with couples (training provided).
