Production Manager – Residential Remodeling (Working Field Lead)


We’re hiring an experienced Construction Production Manager to lead residential remodeling projects from start to finish. At this time, this is a hands-on field leadership role—you will be actively involved in the work while managing crews, coordinating trade partners, and ensuring projects are completed with quality, efficiency, and care.


You’ll have full ownership of field operations, combining leadership with hands-on carpentry and jobsite execution.

Compensation:

$40+ hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in hands-on carpentry work as needed to keep projects moving
  • Lead residential remodeling projects through all phases of construction
  • Manage and support the field crew in daily production
  • Interact professionally with homeowners throughout the project
  • Coordinate trade partners to maintain schedule and quality standards
  • Develop and manage project schedules using JobTread
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits for progress, quality, and safety
  • Ensure safety standards and jobsite compliance are met
  • Train and mentor carpenters and field staff
  • Serve as the primary field leader for production execution

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of residential construction experience (remodeling preferred)
  • Strong hands-on carpentry skills (finish and/or rough framing)
  • Field leadership experience (foreman, lead carpenter, or similar role)
  • Ability to both lead and work in the field daily
  • Strong ability to manage schedules, people, and multiple projects
  • Excellent communication with crews and trade partners
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lead with consistency, accountability, and respect
  • Michigan Builder’s License preferred or willingness to obtain
