As a Full Time Paramedic, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Maryville, TN. The scheduled hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00a - 2:00p, 32 hours per week.

What You'll Do

  • Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance
  • Administers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signs
  • Initiates intravenous fluids for hydration and to administer medication.
  • Administers medications and drugs as appropriate for protocols and lifesaving measures
  • Communicates with physician and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone
  • Keeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment
  • Prepares required reports and maintains records of activities
  • Cleans assigned emergency vehicle, conducts safety inspections, requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipment
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program
  • Current Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed.
  • Current ACLS certification
  • NY Paramedics - based on city and county: Regional Emergency Medical Service Council (REMSCO), Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC), Regional Emergency Medical Organization (REMO) Certifications
