A remarketing manager handles the sale of pre-owned or used assets, such as vehicles, equipment, and homes. Your responsibilities in this job include overseeing vehicle inventory or other assets, working with your team to identify areas of improvement for operation efficiency and ways to maximize asset value. You are expected to set performance expectations for employees, help them develop their skills as remarketing specialists, and train them on any tools or systems provided by your employer. In some positions, you need to establish relationships with auction personnel, schedule auction dates, analyze auction performance, and manage issues with auctions and other vendors. Other duties include implementing policies, examining the processes your team uses for the sale of various assets, and finding ways to improve upon them. You also report and monitor KPIs to ensure your efforts are increasing sales and profits.
