About the Position: Second-level Project Management Coordinator located in the Construction Utility and Permitting Division, responsible for developing, administering, and monitoring parts or components of agency projects. Employees are responsible for assisting in project planning, monitoring the operation of program activities, and supervising project goals and objectives. Responsibilities may include assisting in scheduling, reporting, controlling, and evaluating functions associated with projects; monitoring and reporting project spending; and coordinating the activities of the project team. At this level, employees analyze administrative problems and recommend needed regulations, policies, and procedures for the proper administration of projects. Responsibilities may include preparing and administering proposals, contracts, grants, and agreements related to specific programs or projects of the agency.- The preferred applicant will be able to perform the following:• Read, evaluate, and interpret technical documents and design drawings.• Understand and follow applicable Federal, State, and local rules, regulations, and standards.• Make sound technical decisions, even with incomplete or conflicting information.• Use enterprise data and technical software effectively.• Pursues ongoing professional and technical development.• Applies technical knowledge and demonstrates proficiency in relevant areas.- The employee will be an MDOT liaison with agency divisions, outside organizations, and the general public. The candidate will have the following responsibilities: (1.) Support utility relocation activities within assigned MDOT Districts. (2.)
