What is a relocation package?

A relocation package is a set of financial incentives and assistance for a new or existing employee who is being transferred from one office to another location. Many different industries offer jobs with relocation packages, which typically covers moving expenses, furniture storage fees, any travel and transportation costs, and temporary housing if necessary. Some employers also provide support for spousal job searches, school search assistance for children, and guidance with settling-in services. The specifics can vary widely depending on the company's policies, the level of the position, and the distance of the move, so it's important to clarify what is included before accepting an offer.
