Title: Telemetry Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Portland, OR
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, technical experience in telemetry systems, and experience with large-scale technology implementations. This role is critical to ensuring the successful deployment of an ongoing program to update and maintain telemetry sites across Oregon and Washington.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lead large, complex strategicprojects, assuming accountability for delivering results
  • Manage projects, includingInternal and External resources
  • Develop project plans,budgets, scope, timelines, outcomes, and deliverables using NWN PMO toolsand templates
  • Collaborate withstakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project goals,deliverables, and timelines.
  • Act as a liaison betweentechnical teams, operational teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Communicate technicalconcepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concisemanner.
  • Identify potential projectrisks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure system reliability andsecurity are addressed during the planning and execution phases.
  • Execute procurement andcontracting activities, tracking, and reporting according to NWN policiesand procedures.
  • Identify, manage, and resolveinter-project/program dependencies, working with other PMs and NWNstakeholders
  • Conduct analyses to estimateand track project costs and budgets
  • Define resource requirementsand negotiate availability with resource managers
  • Manage vendor relationshipsto align vendor schedules, costs, and deliverables with the overallproject plan
  • Ensure alignment of technicalsolutions with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, andupdate project risk log. Resolve project issues and escalate asappropriate
  • Manage project change controland follow existing policies
  • Ensure project-relateddocumentation is accurate and complete

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of projectand program management theories, models, and techniques
  • Experience managing a programor volume of projects with competing schedules
  • Demonstrated success applyingproject management concepts and techniques across large, mission-criticalprojects/programs
  • Strong communication andpresentation skills across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analyticalskills, including problem solving and critical thinking, with attention todetail
  • Ability to facilitatemeetings and manage difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to gain and maintaincredibility at all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of businessprocess improvement and change management desired
  • Master's degree in business,technology or related field preferred
  • PMI or equivalentcertification preferred
  • 7+ years of progressiveproject management leadership experience
  • Familiarity with constructionmeans and methods, jurisdictions and permitting requirements
  • Ability to write statementsof work, ensuring scope matches site design and appropriate materials areplanned for
  • Experience with materialstracking, long lead purchasing coordination, materials and vendor invoicereviews and approvals
