Position Summary
BioGro, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at our fertilizer production facility. Responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of equipment including reactors, pumps, tanks, and piping systems. Oversees maintenance staff; coordinates daily activities, and ensures work is completed to trade and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and support maintenance technicians and mechanics
Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across fertilizer processing and packaging equipment
Track and monitor repair and maintenance budget
Support and maintain critical systems including mixers, screening equipment, and jugging lines
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA, environmental regulations, company policies and procedures
Promote a strong safety culture, particularly around chemical handling, and confined spaces
Maintain accurate records and generate reports on equipment reliability and performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including reliability programs and process optimization
Qualifications
ASE certifications or Associate's degree or high a plus, and/or 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in fertilizer, chemical, agricultural, or heavy manufacturing environments
Minimum 5 years of supervisory or lead experience
Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, drive systems, and industrial electrical systems (including PLC troubleshooting)
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to plant needs as required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fertilizer, chemical processing, or agricultural production environments
OSHA safety certifications or equivalent industrial safety training
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, or reliability-centered maintenance
Knowledge of environmental compliance related to fertilizer manufacturing
