The Manager, Material Handling Equipment Service, leads vendor and contract management to ensure compliance and operational excellence within Walmart’s supply chain. This role oversees procurement, budgeting, and reliability activities while driving quality assurance and technical solutions for equipment performance. The position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, implement process improvements, and support crisis and change management initiatives. Utilizing data analysis and business acumen, the manager delivers strategic recommendations that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency, contributing to Walmart’s commitment to continuous improvement and cost-effective operations.

Our team manages one of the largest global supply chains, focusing on optimizing material handling equipment through early management, lifecycle enhancement, and retrofit initiatives. We prioritize preventing premature equipment failures to ensure operational excellence. Leveraging expertise in vendor and contract management, procurement, and budgeting, the team drives continuous improvement and equipment efficiency. Collaborating across functions, we implement best practices and uphold high standards to support Walmart’s business goals, fostering a culture centered on reliability and performance in equipment service management.
What you'll do:
  • Manage vendor relationships by evaluating performance, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee contract administration, including review, documentation, and adherence to organizational protocols.
  • Support procurement activities by coordinating with approved suppliers and ensuring proper documentation and approval processes.
  • Develop and manage budgets, analyze variances, and prepare expense reports using preferred tools.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying safety hazards, following regulatory procedures, and implementing standard operating practices.
  • Utilize data analysis to inform decisions and improve equipment reliability and service quality.
  • Lead change initiatives and crisis response planning to maintain service continuity and operational efficiency.
