Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to join our team at the Corporate HQ in Atlanta, GA. As a Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you play a vital role within the company and will contribute to the overall success and improved operations within Quikrete Cement. The ideal candidate will have mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude. Experience analyzing trends and monitoring equipment conditions to ascertain appropriate maintenance interventions, both preventative and reactive. Supporting the maintenance departments throughout the Quikrete cement plant sites, this role will increase reliability, performance, and asset life expectancy, while aiming to lower overall costs and maintain production functions. This will be accomplished through direct support at individual plant sites, development and implementation of group wide initiatives, and supporting plant adoption of best practices.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
  • Member of the Cement Technical Services team focused in the designated area to develop, establish, and maintain world class maintenance standards at the cement operations.
  • Development, Implementation of Reliability & PM Systems. Creates and participates in reliability improvement initiatives providing guidance to the maintenance management.
  • Review critical maintenance plans (PMs, Predictive, critical equipment identification and enhance maintenance programs).
  • Q Maintenance - Participate in development roadmap, support plants with training and bug identification as needed.
  • Use of key performance indicators [KPI's] to measure, analyze, develop action plans to improve where needed, and focus business to raise plant operating performance in key areas as reliability, availability, mean time between failure, % uptime, and maintenance cost per ton.
  • RCFA compliance & review
  • Outage planning and training including CPM scheduling
  • Ensures effective equipment troubleshooting training, including root causes identification and action plan implementation.
  • Act as technical resource to all plants when resolving significant major equipment reliability issues and corrective action steps to protect the assets.
  • Remain active and knowledgeable in current safety regulations and guidelines, promoting overall plant safety at all locations.

About You
We Require:
  • 10 or more years' experience in heavy industrial maintenance or education equivalency.
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing - English required.
  • Must be able and willing to perform as a team member and within a team environment.
  • Possess solid leadership skills. Be a motivated, self-starter, proactive and action oriented by character.
  • Thorough knowledge of Predictive, Preventative Maintenance Tools and methods
  • Candidate should have a strong technical background with excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to direct, motivate and coach activities of others.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in problem solving, with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to teach and train in cement plant maintenance and reliability systems/methods
  • Ability to travel often to the various Quikrete cement plant sites.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings to include physical, background check, and drug screen.
  • Preferred: B.S. degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Mining Engineer or related technical field required or equivalent experience in the cement industry.
  • Proven background in a similar role within a cement / production-oriented environment.
