Job description

SUMMARY: Warehouse Loader Operator is responsible for assisting in warehouse operations, including the efficient movement and storage of finished goods. The operator will also serve as a Backup Forklift Operator, supporting production and material handling as needed. This dual role ensures seamless production and distribution in our fast-paced environment. In addition, employees must follow all GMPs & food safety policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons:

  • Loader Operations:
    • Operate loaders to transport raw and finished materials, feed production lines, assist with mixing processes, and load bulk trucks / containers when required.
    • Operate main screener and load hopper when required.
    • Conduct pre-operational checks on loaders and other heavy equipment.
    • Follow all safety protocols for loader operations.
  • Material Handling:
    • Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse areas.
    • Ensure proper labeling and storage of organic fertilizer products to maintain quality and compliance.
    • Assist in receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
  • Backup Forklift Operations:
    • Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
    • Transport and stack pallets, bulk bags, and other materials efficiently.
    • Inspect forklifts daily for operational safety and report maintenance needs.
  • General Warehouse Support:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
    • Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational needs.
    • Filling 1-ton and 40lb bags with finished product.
    • Stacking and wrapping pallets.
    • Operation of bagging hoppers.
    • Other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment safety practices and operating procedures
  • Attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
