Job description


VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Labor/Employee Relations Manager to support a manufacturing plant in Sterling Heights, MI. You will develop and execute strategies, manage collective bargaining, ensure fair employee relations, and assist in Health & Safety programs.


Position Type: Full time, Direct Hire. In Plant daily.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement labor, risk management, and employee relations strategies.
  • Analyze plant performance and provide suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with management on union and employee relations activities.
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance on issues and prepare for upcoming events.
  • Lead union contract negotiations, manage union relationships and the collective bargaining process.
  • Build employee trust, mediate conflicts, and ensure fair and consistent application of workplace policies.
  • Ensure fair investigations are conducted.
  • Train and coach leaders.
  • Support health, safety, and regulatory compliance in partnership with EHS Team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required.
  • Experience in a union environment leading the collective bargaining process. Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Up to date knowledge in labor laws and labor agreements.
  • Grievance handling, coaching, and compliance.
  • Knowledgeable in Health and Safety regulations.

Pay range and compensation package

PAY: $100,000 - $125,000 annually based on education and experience level.
