Summary

The Employee Relations Assistant Manager leads employee relations programs and is involved in employee relations issue resolution in order to maintain employee engagement while minimizing costs and risks. The incumbent is responsible for the development of junior Employee Relations staff.

What You'll Do

  • Leads the implementation of employee relations programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Employee relations issues resolved to managers' and employees' satisfaction whilemaintainingemployee engagement.
  • Conducts investigations into employee relations issues that have been escalated by managers and/orHR Generalist/HRBP.
  • Effective resolution ofemployee relations issues.
  • Ensures compliance with employment legislation while supporting thetimelyresolution of employee issues
  • Advises and coaches managers on the resolution of employee relations issues, including compliance and application of employment laws and regulations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensuresadministrative tasks are completed (e.g.documentation for investigations).Deliver other HR projects (e.g.deliver harassment training)in a timely manner.
  • Manages, coaches, and develops Employee Relations staff reporting to this position.
  • Other duties and projects as may be assigned.

What You Need

  • 9+ years progressive HRexperiencepreferably in ERand management
  • Certified Professional HR (PHR), SHRM- CPor Senior Professional HR (SPHR)preferred
  • Understanding ofHR best practices and current regulations.Ability toestablishstrong partnerships with functional and business leaders to develop andexecute onlong and short-term HR strategies that directly support the business.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Commitment to professionalism timelines accuracy follow-through andanticipatingbusiness needs.Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills.Innovative, future-orientedand open to new thoughts and ideas.
