Real Estate Analyst - Performance Insights & Portfolio Strategy

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Analyst / REIT Analyst to support a global corporate real estate organization responsible for managing a large-scale international portfolio and 60-70 real estate transactions annually. This role sits at the center of the real estate strategy function, partnering closely with portfolio managers, workplace implementation teams, finance leadership, and operations stakeholders to drive data-informed real estate decisions.

This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial real estate analytics experience who can transform large, complex datasets into actionable business insights through financial modeling, dashboard development, and executive-level reporting.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead analytics and reporting initiatives for the global corporate real estate team, including dashboard development, data management, and portfolio reporting.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models to support lease transactions, portfolio optimization, occupancy planning, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Analyze lease structures and ensure transactions conform to GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Develop reporting for executive leadership and CFO stakeholders, including lease cost as a percentage of revenue, portfolio forecasts, utilization trends, and transaction pipeline reporting.
  • Manage and maintain real estate portfolio data, including lease expirations, occupancy levels, operating expenses, and headcount projections.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel to support strategic planning and workplace implementation initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking related to rental rates, vacancy trends, occupancy metrics, and portfolio performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with finance, legal, workplace implementation, and portfolio management teams to align real estate strategy with broader business goals.
  • Support ESG and risk management reporting initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities within the real estate portfolio and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on reporting tools and systems, including lease administration platforms such as Visual Lease (training can be provided).

What Gets You the Job:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate analytics, REIT analysis, lease administration, or corporate real estate strategy.
  • Must have real estate corporate leasing experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale commercial real estate portfolios within enterprise or global organizations.
  • Proven experience handling high transaction volume environments (60-70+ deals annually preferred).
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including: NPV, IRR, DCF analysis, Scenario modeling, and Lease analysis
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate concepts including leasing structures, acquisitions/dispositions, occupancy planning, and portfolio management.
  • Expertise in data visualization, dashboard development, and executive reporting using: Tableau, Excel, or Power BI
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating complex information into clear business insights.
  • Familiarity with lease administration concepts and lease financial structures including gross, net, and triple-net leases.
  • Understanding of GAAP and IFRS compliance related to real estate transactions.
  • Strong executive communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across finance, legal, operations, and real estate teams.

  • Experience with lease administration platforms such as Visual Lease.
