We're rapidly growing and looking for another important piece of the puzzle.
Is it you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Strategic Account Executive with a passion for winning new logos to join our growing Sales team on the East Coast. You will report directly to the North America VP Sales and be responsible for new business development across our target markets, focusing on growing our customer base for Shield's Communications Compliance suite of solutions.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify, engage, and win new clients across financial services, capital markets, and other regulated industries.
  • Prospect and build relationships with senior stakeholders, including business leaders, compliance professionals, risk officers, and executive decision-makers.
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound, networking, referrals, industry events, partnerships, and market research.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand client objectives, business challenges, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and solution discussions tailored to customer needs.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, including qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Leadership teams to develop solutions and respond effectively to customer requirements.
  • Build trusted relationships with prospects and clients by providing industry insights and subject matter expertise.
  • Stay current on financial services regulations, market trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, webinars, and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to help inform product strategy and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, strategic partnerships, and long-term relationship growth.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying Enterprise Sales, Account Executive, Business Development, or consulting sales role, with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions, professional services, consulting engagements, managed services, or other complex business solutions into financial services, capital markets, compliance, surveillance, regulatory technology (RegTech), or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and the challenges faced by regulated organizations.
  • Ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple levels, including business leaders, compliance teams, risk officers, and executive decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify customer needs, understand business and regulatory challenges, and position solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, cloud-based technologies, enterprise software solutions, or consulting-led transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and develop subject matter expertise in complex products, services, and workflows.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong business acumen, professional presence, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements, compliance-related workflows, or advisory services supporting regulated organizations is a plus but not required.

  • This position is based in NY - The base salary for this role is between $130,000 USD - $160,000 USD a year with on-target earning up to $320,000 and company equity + commission The salary will be dependent upon many factors, including your experience level, skill set, and market knowledge. This range is based on Shield's good faith estimate as of the date of the job posting and may be modified in the future.
