About Us
American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest urgent care providers in the United States. We provide high-quality, walk-in medical care seven days a week, including urgent care, occupational medicine, workers' compensation, onsite lab services, and digital X-ray imaging.
This position is for our locally owned AFC Urgent Care - Chino location.
Position Overview
We are building a strong hybrid clinical team and are actively hiring:
• ARRT-Certified Radiologic Technologists
• Certified Medical Assistants with California X-Ray Permit
This role performs diagnostic imaging while also supporting back-office clinical operations in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities
  • Perform digital diagnostic X-rays (extremities, chest, torso)
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety (ALARA)
  • Maintain image quality control and compliance standards
  • Prepare images for provider interpretation and radiologist overreads
  • Maintain radiology equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Ensure compliance with California radiology regulations

Medical Assistant Responsibilities
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Document patient history in EMR
  • Perform EKGs, injections, wound care, splinting
  • Conduct rapid lab testing (flu, strep, COVID, urinalysis)
  • Assist providers with procedures (laceration repair, incision & drainage, etc.)
  • Maintain OSHA and infection control standards
  • Support workers' compensation documentation

Qualifications
We are hiring candidates from BOTH of the following backgrounds:
ARRT Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT Registered (RT-R) preferred
  • Active California Radiologic Technologist License
  • Experience in digital radiography
  • Comfortable cross-training in Medical Assistant duties

Certified Medical Assistant with X-Ray Permit
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Active California Limited X-Ray Permit
  • Experience performing digital imaging
  • Urgent care or outpatient experience preferred
