Schedule: Full-Time | Shift Type: Days | On-Call Required Position Overview Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a collaborative and motivated Interventional Radiologist to join a partner's team at a 697-bed non-profit teaching hospital in West Reading, PA. This role is ideal for a dedicated physician who is committed to high-quality, personalized patient care and continuous quality improvement.
The successful candidate will join a cohesive group of eight providers and practice 100% IR. This is a pivotal role that requires a commitment to teamwork, a broad range of IR skills, and a passion for providing exceptional care in an academic environment.
Qualifications Required: • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology. • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship/residency. • Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania (PA) medical license or eligibility to obtain one. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Preferred: • Experience with interventional oncology, portal hypertension, spinal augmentation, venous disease, and trauma. • Experience in a teaching hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Excellence • Treat a broad range of IR cases, including interventional oncology, portal hypertension, spinal augmentation, venous disease, and trauma. • Provide 100% IR services, including interpreting follow-up imaging for patients. • Collaborate with an employed group of physicians and physician assistants dedicated to high-quality patient care.
Operational Oversight • Utilize two dedicated single plane angiography suites, one biplane, a CT scanner, and two suites for ultrasound-guided procedures. • Work with a complete support staff team, including technicians, registered nurses, and coordinators. • Take on rotating weekends as part of the on-call schedule.
