Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Location Requirement: Candidate must reside within a 50-mile radius (proof via valid, unexpired driverโ€™s license required).
- Licensing/Certifications:
- BLS certification required
- West Virginia X-ray License required
- WV CARES background check required prior to start
- Prefer ARRT (CT), or minimum 3-5 years CT experience
- IV experience required
- Department Details:
- 2 CT rooms
- 3 techs scheduled daily
- Nursing support for IVs and premedication
- No floating to other areas required
- Job Duties:
- Perform CT imaging: head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities
- Assist with biopsies and sterile tray set-up (willing to train for biopsies)
- Start and manage IVs
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Volume: Approximately 65 scans/studies per day (24-hour period)
- Systems Used:
- EMR: Community Works
- PACS: Intellirad/Intelliconnect
- Equipment: GE VCT 64 slice, Siemens Somatom Definition 64 slice
- Supervision:
- Imaging Director and Manager available M-F daylight hours/phone
- Lead tech on team-based shift (2,2,3 schedule)
- Additional Personnel:
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA)
- Radiologist in-house until 5pm, then on-call (Vrad 2a-6a)
- Scheduling:
- 2,2,3 shift schedule (various day, afternoon, and midnight shifts)
- May be only tech in-house overnight
- Every other weekend required
- May participate in holiday rotation
- No call/standby requirement
- Dress Code: Any clean, professional scrubs (emerald green optional)
- Orientation: 5 shifts with a preceptor
- Additional Notes: First-time travelers accepted; must disclose any licensing hits at submission.
