Florida Registered Interns (Mental Health, Marriage amp; Family or Social Work) ready to join

counseling program has continued to grow since its inception in 2013 - serving both
parochial and secular private schools through individual and group counseling, with
children from preschool through 12th grade. The program is operated through Lutheran
Counseling Services (LCS), a staple of mental health in Central Florida for over 30 years.

We are specifically looking for a Registered Intern in any of the three disciplines (Mental Health, Marriage and Family, Social Work) that will serve a school in Ocala, FL that we have had a contract with for the past three years.
QUALIFICATIONS:
โข Desire and ability to work with children in a school setting
โข Have reliable transportation
โข Masters Degree from an accredited college/university
โข Registered Intern with the Florida Department of Health in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling and/or Clinical Social Work
โข Professional liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per incident/$3,000,000 aggregate
โข Available August 2026 - May 2027 (for a 10-month contract)
โข Familiarity with Zoom, Google Drive amp; Apple products is helpful
RESPONSIBILITIES
โข Provide individual and group counseling to students
โข Lead classroom psycho-educational based presentations
โข Assist with school and personal crises on campus
โข Understand and support the mission of LCS
โข Learn and use TherapyNotes for all documentation: including Intakes, Treatment Plans and Progress Notes
โข Regularly meet with an LCS Clinical Supervisor, Program Supervisor and other LCS staff members, as needed
โข Attend LCS staff amp; professional development meetings
JOB BENEFITS
โข Compensation is $26/hour
โข Clinical supervision for program hours is provided by a LCS/Florida qualified supervisor (provided free of charge to registered intern)
โข Opportunity to build a caseload of clients (children, adults, couples, families) at LCS satellite locations or via telehealth/virtual appointments - with billing and scheduling provided through LCS staff
โข Contract potentially renewable each school year
