Apprentice Electrician – BESS Project

Location: Fort Morgan, CO

Project Type: Utility‑Scale

Project Pay Rate: $36.49/hr

Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support a long‑term battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The Apprentice Electrician will assist Journeyman Electricians with installing, assembling, and testing electrical components associated with large‑scale energy storage equipment. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands‑on experience in the rapidly growing renewable energy and storage industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with BESS electrical installation — Support wiring, terminations, and equipment installation
  • DC/AC electrical work support — Help with battery racks, PCS/inverters, switchgear, and transformers
  • Conduit installation — Measure, cut, and install EMT, PVC, and Rigid conduit
  • Blueprint reading assistance — Learn to interpret one‑lines and electrical drawings
  • Grounding and bonding tasks — Assist with NEC‑compliant grounding and labeling
  • Troubleshooting support — Help identify and resolve installation issues
  • Battery module handling — Assist with module installation and cable routing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all NEC, OSHA, and site safety requirements
  • Participate in daily safety meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Apprentice Electrician (Colorado)
