Job Title:
DF AY26/27 RegisCARES Personal Trainer
Job Description:
Regis Cares is hiring part-time certified personal trainers. Personal trainers will provide training services in the Regis University Fitness Center. Sessions will include one-on-one training.
Personal Trainers should
  • Be committed to helping individuals reach their personal fitness goals
  • Specialize in the design and implementation of individualized programs
  • Be skilled in the safe and proper use of gym equipment
  • Be energetic, provide exceptional customer service, and enjoy finding creative ways to keep clients motivated while assisting them in overcoming obstacles

Services provided:
  • Multi-systems fitness assessment
  • Health and fitness goal identification
  • Design of tailored exercise and fitness programs
  • Instruction in how to safely perform exercises
  • Health and fitness progress monitoring
  • Adjustment of health and fitness programs in response to changing fitness level.

Responsibilities of the personal trainer:
  • Evaluate clients' fitness levels and health conditions
  • Build individualized exercise programs
  • Explain exercises in detail and suggest alternatives if needed
  • Monitor progress of clients' fitness levels
  • Explain safe and proper use of gym equipment
  • Inform clients about on gym safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with customers
  • Advise customers on how to change nutritional and lifestyle habits as needed

Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain positive and proactive customer service behaviors at all times
  • Ability to move efficiently between multiple tasks
  • To learn and remember complicated procedures and policies
  • Ability to work well without close supervision after receiving instructions
  • To be punctual, dependable, and honest
  • Answers questions, both directional and informational, in a friendly, patient manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with customers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current Certification in Personal Training or similarly named; including, but not limited to the following preferred certifications:
  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through ACSM, NSCA, NASM, or ACE.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through NSCA.
  • Crossfit Level 1 or higher

Or
  • Licensed/ certified athletic trainer

AND
  • Current CPR/AED or BLS certification
  • Current full-time student at Regis University

This position will remain posted until filled, with a preferred application deadline of August 24th, 2026. Applications received by this date will receive full consideration.
These positions are benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
