Job description

Description

The Regional Training Supervisor is responsible for delivering, coordinating, and supporting driver training across all assigned locations within the region. This role ensures all drivers meet company, client, and regulatory standards and provides additional operational support during low training-volume periods. Travel is an essential function of the position.  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities Training & Certification

  • Conduct new hire training, refresher training, remedial coaching, and contract-required certifications. 
  • Perform driver road tests, wheelchair securement tests, client-assistance evaluations, and defensive driving assessments. 
  • Ensure training materials, rosters, and certifications are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Maintain knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, ADA, state-specific, and contract-specific requirements. Regional Coverage 
  • Travel to all assigned locations within the region, including Dallas, Houston, and any other designated sites.
  • Support staffing and onboarding needs where hiring volume is highest.
  • Provide onsite and remote training support as operationally required.  


Operational Support During Downtime

  • During periods where training demand is low, perform operational duties including but not limited to: 
  • Driving scheduled passenger trips
  • Vehicle inspections
  • Dispatch, field support, or service recovery 
  • Assisting with road tests and audits
  • Maintain productivity and contribute to operational efficiency when not conducting training. Compliance & Documentation 
  • Maintain complete, current, and audit-ready training files.
  • Track all certifications and renewal timelines for assigned drivers.
  • Report weekly training activity, compliance percentages, and staffing needs.  


Safety & Quality 

  • Partner with Safety to review camera events and provide corrective coaching.
  • Conduct follow-up training after incidents, customer complaints, or preventable accidents. 
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, safety standards, and customer service expectations. Communication & Coordination
  • Collaborate with HR, Safety, Dispatch, and Operations to align training with staffing and service needs. 
  • Communicate scheduling changes, needs, and barriers promptly. 
  • Represent the company professionally with drivers, managers, and clients.

Requirements

 Minimum Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and any required endorsements.
  • Clean driving record meeting company and client criteria. 
  • Prior training or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed. 
  • Ability to lift, bend, secure wheelchairs, and perform field-based tasks. 

Travel Requirement This role requires travel to all regional locations as part of its essential job duties. Refusal or failure to travel impacts operational needs and may result in reassignment or disciplinary action. Regional locations (Houston/Dallas, Texas & Jacksonville, Florida)
