Job Summary

The Spa Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionally of the spa facilities while delivering exceptional service to members and guests. The role includes ensuring that all spa areas are well-organized and inviting, assisting members and guests with their needs, and supporting the spa staff in daily operations. The Spa Attendant plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and relaxing environment that enhances the overall spa experience.

Reporting Structure

           Reports to the Manager Spa or Sports Club Director 

Day-to-Day

  • Ensure a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for all members/guests, delivering outstanding customer service. 
  • Provide tours of the spa facilities to new members and guests, explaining available services and amenities. 
  • Promote spa services and specials through active participation in marketing and member engagement efforts. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all spa areas, including treatment rooms, locker rooms, relaxation lounges, and public areas. 
  • Ensure towels, linens, and spa amenities are always fully stocked and available for member/guest use. This includes replenishing beverages and snacks in relaxation areas. 
  • Support massage therapists, and other spa staff by preparing treatment rooms, replenishing products, and assisting with member/guest transitions between services. 
  • Ensure the spa follows all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, such as sanitizing equipment and common areas after each use. 
  • Oversee the collection, laundering, and folding of towels and linens to ensure a steady supply is available. 
  • Effectively communicate with the front desk and spa staff to ensure smooth coordination of guest appointments and spa operations. 

Additional Duties

  • Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.   
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions. 
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff. 
  • Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same. 
  • Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role. 
  • Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations. 
  • Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team's success. 

About You

Preferred 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Previous experience in a spa, hospitality, or customer service role. 
  • Familiarity with spa services and treatments can be beneficial. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with members and guests. 
  • Attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and organization of the spa areas. 
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. 
  • Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, chemicals or gases. 
  • Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending. 
  • Talking, hearing, and seeing. 

Primary Tools/Equipment

  • Cleaning supplies such as disinfectants, mops, brooms, laundry supplies, etc. 
  • Towels, linens, and robes. 
  • Spa equipment such as massage tables and facial beds. 
  • Member amenities such as shampoo, conditioners, and body wash.
  • Tablets/computers  

Work Schedule 

  • Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule. 
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines.
  • Availability to work weekends and/or holidays as required.
