SUMMARY:

The Spa Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and hospitality within the spa. This role requires an eye for detail, a warm and professional demeanor, and a commitment to providing personalized service in a serene and luxurious environment. By delivering impeccable service, the Steward will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa's service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with inquiries, ensuring a seamless and tranquil spa experience.
  • Assist in providing guests with direction of the spa facilities and protocols.
  • Anticipate guest needs, offering refreshments, towels, and other amenities.
  • Maintain a calm and soothing environment, ensuring minimal disruption to guests' relaxation.
  • Ensure all spa areas (treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, saunas, steam rooms, pools, and locker rooms) are immaculately clean, well-stocked, and properly maintained.
  • Replenish towels, robes, slippers, and toiletries as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of showers, restrooms, and common areas throughout the day.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of treatment rooms, ensuring they meet luxury standards.
  • Assist therapists and reception staff with guest flow, ensuring smooth transitions between services.
  • Handle laundry duties, including washing, folding, and organizing linens and robes.
  • Restock retail displays and maintain an organized product inventory.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols in compliance with luxury hotel standards.
  • Work closely with spa therapists, receptionists, and management to uphold service excellence.
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on spa offerings and protocols.
  • Provide feedback to management on guest preferences and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with luxury brand standards and hotel policies.
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.
  • Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • (1/2) years of previous experience in a luxury spa or hotel preferred.
  • Endurance to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
  • Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks that require prolonged bending, kneeling, and reaching while maintaining precision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a serene atmosphere.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (Up to 30lbs).
  • Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
