Position Overview

As the Regional Sales Manager , Water and Wastewater Separations Technology, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategy leading to revenue growth and expanding our market share. You will leverage your expertise in water and wastewater treatment technologies to develop and execute high-impact strategies that drive customer success and business expansion.

Your ability to architect a solutions oriented approach, build strategic relationships, lead high-value projects, and collaborate cross-functionally will be essential in shaping the future of Kovalus’ water and wastewater business.

 

 

Responsibilities

Typical activities include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and growth strategies for Kovalus’ water and wastewater treatment solutions to drive market penetration and revenue expansion.
  • Communicate strategic plan to regional leadership and assist in the execution of that plan outside of North America where needed.
  • Lead strategic partnerships with critical end users, OEMs, EPCs, and industry consultants to expand market reach and drive new business opportunities.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with product management, and marketing teams to foster innovation and ensure alignment on key business initiatives.
  • Drive market share growth by working closely with regional sales, product management, and process engineering teams.
  • Analyze and track performance metrics, leveraging successes and identifying areas for improvement to enhance Kovalus’ market competitiveness.
  • Develop and manage key customer relationships and oversee major projects involving customized separation solutions in collaboration with internal teams within North America.
  • Successfully close major projects valued at $1M+, ensuring that all project milestones, customer requirements, and financial targets are met within North America.
  • Provide executive-level updates on business performance, pipeline forecasts, and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or leadership within the water and wastewater treatment industry.
  • Proven success in selling separation technologies (e.g., membrane filtration, ion exchange) for industrial, municipal, food & beverage, and life sciences applications.
  • Deep expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes across industrial and regulated sectors.
  • Existing relationships with critical end users, OEMs, EPCs, and industry consultants.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with a track record of closing complex deals.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong consultative selling and account management expertise.
  • History of exceeding sales quotas and driving business growth in a global market.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (90% of that travel within North America), collaborating with regional sales teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related technical discipline (MBA preferred but not required).
