Job description

Looking for an Administrative Assistant for an independent laboratory. A great opportunity to learn new and grow with the company!

Positive attitude, honesty, self-starter attitude and reliability are appreciated. The candidate should be an independent worker who can also take direction. 

The employee will support heavily the COO and the Customer service & Billing department of the company. This is a really good opportunity to enter the healthcare field and learn a lot. 

  • Greet visitors and point them in the right direction, answer inquiries, and create a welcoming environment
  • Organize and maintain files and databases in a confidential manner
  • Manage communication including emails and phone calls
  • Assist clients and patients via email and phone
  • Screen phone calls, redirect calls, and take messages
  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Maintain and assist with inventory as requested
  • Assist other departments admin duties as needed
  • Assist in Accessioning department as needed

Excel and Word experience are a must. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but we are willing to train as well.

The position is $23.00/hour. 

The position is Monday - Friday during "usual office hours".

The company offers health, dental and vision insurance. In addition, after a probation period there is paid time off (vacation, sick and personal).
