Job description

We are looking for a talented General Manager to join our team specializing in Service and Operations for our Saskatoon, SK branch.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Deliver strong operational and financial performance by achieving or exceeding balanced scorecard targets, optimizing asset utilization, and managing P&L with discipline and foresight.
  • Translate longterm strategy into actionable business plans, ensuring your organization executes with clarity, alignment, and measurable shortterm results that support Cummins' broader strategic direction.
  • Grow the business profitably by identifying new opportunities, understanding regional and global market dynamics, and ensuring offerings are optimized for Cummins' capabilities and customer needs.
  • Strengthen crossfunctional execution by anticipating and resolving operational challenges across customer service, finance, quality, purchasing, materials, and HR, ensuring seamless performance across all functions.
  • Elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty through strong relationshipbuilding, proactive engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives that reflect both current and future customer expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and Six Sigma initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency while embedding common global business processes where applicable.
  • Develop highperforming teams by leading, motivating, and coaching Supervisors and Individual Contributors, setting clear expectations for development, performance, and career growth.
  • Deepen organizational insight and market understanding by building expertise across all Cummins businesses and leveraging that knowledge to shape opportunities that strengthen Cummins' regional and global presence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key leadership role in supporting and developing local and extended team members.  Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to set goals and monitor performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth.
  • Work with marketing to develop campaigns that align with sales objectives.
     

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to travel to the United States as required is preferred.

  • Oversee both the Saskatchewan operations including Saskatoon and Regina branches and field service. A strong background in customer relations is essential to ensure seamless processes and exceptional customer satisfaction.  Knowledge or experience in strategic business planning and change management methodology.

  • Familiarity with multiple market segments in the Saskatchewan market and Western Canada in general (Power Gen, On Highway, Industrial) would be an asset.

  • University degree preferred.

  • Business acumen is required.

  • Experience managing multiple sites would be an asset. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
