Position Summary
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance, execution excellence, and profitability of assigned regional operations. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual oversees multiple project teams, field operations personnel, project managers, and operational resources to ensure the successful delivery of projects across the region.
The Regional Operations Manager provides strategic leadership to drive operational efficiency, workforce development, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and margin performance. This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Executive Leadership to ensure resources, processes, and execution strategies support both current operations and future growth.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & Operations
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all operational activities within the assigned region.
  • Drive accountability for project execution, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial performance.
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, Field Managers, Supervisors, and technical teams.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, procedures, and best practices throughout the region.
  • Ensure organizational goals, safety requirements, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Resource Planning & Workforce Management
  • Develop strategic resource plans to ensure sufficient labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and technical expertise are available to support project demands.
  • Forecast staffing needs and collaborate with leadership and Talent Acquisition to support regional growth initiatives.
  • Review labor utilization and workforce efficiency to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained, certified, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Mentor and develop future operational leaders within the organization.

Project Execution & Delivery
  • Provide executive oversight of all projects within the region.
  • Ensure projects are launched successfully through effective pre-deployment planning and cross-functional coordination.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, risk profiles, and resource allocation.
  • Support project teams in resolving escalations, removing obstacles, and mitigating operational risks.
  • Lead weekly operational reviews and Work-in-Progress (WIP) meetings to evaluate project health and forecast outcomes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations.

Financial & Business Performance
  • Maintain accountability for regional revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Review project margins and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and provide accurate backlog, revenue, staffing, and operational forecasts to executive leadership.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations Leadership to monitor business performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.

Sales & Business Development Support
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to support business development opportunities.
  • Participate in bid reviews, project planning discussions, and operational strategy sessions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions can be successfully executed within regional capabilities and resource constraints.
  • Support customer relationship management activities and contribute to client retention and expansion efforts.
  • Act as an operational subject matter expert during proposal development and project pursuit activities.

Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, delivery consistency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics and implement initiatives that improve execution and profitability.
  • Assist executive leadership in developing and improving regional and company-wide processes and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and operational discipline.

Qualifications

Required Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in electronic security operations, project management, or field operations.
  • 5+ years of management experience leading multi-functional teams.
  • Proven experience managing operations within electronic security, low-voltage systems, property technology, data centers, critical infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects and operational teams across a geographic region.
  • Experience with workforce planning, forecasting, budgeting, and operational performance management.
