What is a regional managing partner?

A Regional Managing Partner is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and performance of a firm's offices within a specific geographic region. Their main duties include managing teams, developing business opportunities, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving growth in their area. They also act as a key liaison between regional offices and the firm's overall leadership, making strategic decisions to align regional objectives with the company's broader goals. This role typically requires extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of the industry.

How does a regional managing partner typically balance strategic leadership with day-to-day operational responsibilities?

A Regional Managing Partner is expected to set the strategic vision for their region while also overseeing daily operations, which often requires strong time management and delegation skills. They work closely with team leaders and department heads to ensure that company goals are met and that regional offices align with overall corporate objectives. This balance is usually achieved by prioritizing high-impact decisions, maintaining open communication channels, and empowering local managers to handle routine matters. Regular performance reviews and strategy meetings help keep both strategic and operational objectives on track.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Regional Managing Partner will lead one of TriCore's most established regions, oversee business operations and project execution, and help position the organization for continued success.

For more than 30 years, TriCore has partnered with manufacturers to improve performance through industrial automation, controls, industrial networking, manufacturing data systems, project delivery, and technical consulting. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, exceptional customer support, long-standing client relationships, and a collaborative culture, TriCore is entering an exciting phase of continued growth and strategic expansion.

We’re seeking a strategic and people-focused leader who excels at building relationships, developing teams, and driving results. You’ll bring strong business acumen, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and be comfortable leading through change and growth. In this role you will create alignment, foster accountability, and help your teams achieve ambitious goals while maintaining a collaborative and customer-focused culture.

  • Ensure teams are aligned to meet customer commitments, operational goals, and regional objectives
  • Evaluate processes, improve cross-functional collaboration, and support operational standardization efforts
  • Drive accountability, communication, and execution while maintaining exceptional customer service and project quality
  • Balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term growth initiatives and strategic priorities

  • Support hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and employee development
  • Influence and collaborate effectively across functions and reporting lines
