Position Summary: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory by developing and executing regional sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and leading sales execution efforts. This role partners closely with internal teams to deliver customer-focused solutions while advancing CMD’s mission of Making It Better Together.

Regional Sales Manager Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Achieve or exceed annual and quarterly sales targets, bookings, and margin goals.
  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand CMD’s market presence within the assigned territory.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, needs analysis, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver high‑value solutions.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to leadership.
  • Represent CMD at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by supporting project handoff and post‑sale follow‑up.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical sales practices.

Work Environment: CMD is located in Appleton, WI. Our three facilities operate by secure entry, are well lit, air temperature controlled for comfort, and clean with low noise. Physical Demands:

  • Capacity to use standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, and videoconferencing.

Status: Full-time, exempt.

Travel: Up to 40%, regionally and overnight in the United States. Occasional international travel is required and necessitates a valid US Passport.
