Description

The Regional Key Account Manager (RKAM) is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with strategic retail customers within the beverage distribution network. This role focuses on driving sales growth, maximizing product placement, and ensuring optimal execution of company brands across regional key accounts. The Regional Key Account Manager (RKAM) collaborates with internal sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to implement account strategies, promotional programs, and distribution initiatives that increase market share and profitability. 


The ideal candidate will analyze sales performance, identify growth opportunities, negotiate pricing and promotional agreements, and ensure customer satisfaction through consistent communication and service. This role requires a strong understanding of the beverage industry, distributor operations, category management, and retail execution standards. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and grow relationships with regional key retail, grocery and convenience accounts. 
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales and revenue targets. 
  • Negotiate pricing, promotional programs and display opportunities with regional key customers. 
  • Monitor sales performance, distribution metrics and market trends to identify growth opportunities. 
  • Ensure proper product placement, shelf positioning and in-store execution across accounts. 
  • Analyze account performance and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership. 
  • Work closely with distributor partners to ensure effective inventory management and product availability. 
  • Resolve customer issues and maintain high levels of service and satisfaction. 
  • Reports to and works directly with the Key Account Manager for the assigned area.  

Requirements

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Must be 21 years of age or older 
  •  Valid Driver's license with clean driving record 
  • 2+ years experience in beverage sales, consumer packaged goods (CPG) or distribution 
  • 1+ years experience managing key accounts and negotiating with large retail partners 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to utilize sales applications within ERP software 
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to work holidays or weekends, as needed 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field 
  • 4+ years experience in beverage sales, consumer packaged goods (CPG) or distribution 
  • 2+ years experience managing key accounts and negotiating with large retail partners 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., climb, reach & perform various physical maneuvers to perform the essential functions of the job.
