Job Description
We are in search of a Regional Finance Director - Central. The Regional Finance Director will report directly to the SVP of Finance and be a key member of the company's financial leadership team. This role will serve as the trusted financial business partner to the Region President and be part of the regional leadership team. The role is expected to collaborate with the regional leaders to drive the region's financial performance and advance the company's strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for all regional month-end reporting, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, financial modeling, KPI reporting, strategic initiative tracking, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance requirements. You will also be responsible for managing and developing the regional finance team.
Responsibilities Include:
Financial Leadership and Strategy
  • Ongoing management of the regional P&L and balance sheet, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment with strategic initiatives
  • Partner with the Region President and the regional leadership team to develop and execute strategies that drive sales growth and profit margin expansion
  • Deliver actionable insights to the regional leadership team that allows them to make informed decisions

Reporting & Analysis
  • Lead the month-end close process for the region, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to Corporate FP&A
  • Develop and maintain KPI's and dashboards (e.g., price/volume, warehouse productivity, customer profitability, etc.) to drive accountability and measure performance against company goals
  • Analyze financial and operational trends to identify margin improvement and cost optimization opportunities

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Planning
  • Lead the regional annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, supported by reasonable assumptions and inclusive of a balanced set of risks and opportunities
  • Partner with the field leaders to model financial scenarios and evaluate the expected return on strategic initiatives, capital expenditures, M&A opportunities, etc.

Automation and Continuous Improvement
  • Leverage advanced analytics, automation, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to streamline reporting and improve local decision-making
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the regional finance team to drive process efficiencies and best practice sharing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or other advanced certification is a plus.
  • 12+ years of progressive, relevant FP&A experience; ideally in a high-growth, multi-location business in a public or private equity-backed environment
  • Direct experience in a field FP&A role with full P&L responsibility is a must
  • Strong executive presence, business acumen, strategic thinking and presentation skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to deliver complex financial insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced technical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, and the ability to navigate large, complex datasets
  • Experience building, coaching, and mentoring a high-performing team
  • Hands-on, results-oriented, and comfortable navigating complexity, driving change, and meeting deadlines with urgency and sound judgment
  • Proven ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships and experience operating in a large organization

Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000 per year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
