WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Director, Americas Region Planning leads regional business planning and strategic execution across Central and South American markets, partnering with regional, country, OEM, distributor, and dealer leadership to support market growth, performance improvement, and long-term profitability. This role provides thought leadership, market intelligence, competitive insights, and executive-level recommendations while directing cross-functional planning activities, governance routines, and expansion initiatives aligned to regional business objectives.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Regional Expansion & Strategic Planning

Lead regional planning and expansion initiatives across Central and South American markets, including development of business plans, go-to-market strategies, prioritization of market opportunities, and execution of initiatives that support sales growth, profitability, and long-term regional objectives. Partner with OEM brand partners, distributors, dealers, and internal functions including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Risk to align priorities, resolve execution barriers, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Regional Business Intelligence & Market Insights

Lead and perform market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking across Central and South American markets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Monitor OEM competitive dynamics, emerging market entrants, regulatory developments, and evolving market conditions to support strategic planning and decision-making. Direct the collection, validation, and analysis of regional sales, marketing, and performance data, partnering with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to develop executive-level dashboards, reports, and actionable business insights. Provide regular reporting on OEM performance, dealer network effectiveness, and captive finance activities to support regional and executive leadership decision-making.

People Leadership

Lead and develop team members by setting priorities, establishing performance expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and building team capability to deliver regional planning, market intelligence, and stakeholder support objectives.

Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, strategic planning, operations, finance, business development, or related functions.

Experience leading strategic planning, market expansion, or regional business initiatives in a complex, cross-functional environment.

People leadership experience including setting priorities, coaching and developing team members, and managing performance expectations.

Experience working in the automotive, captive finance, financial services, or related industry preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field required.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Strategic planning and business leadership, including ability to translate regional objectives into actionable plans, priorities, and execution roadmaps.

Strong commercial and financial acumen, including understanding of market growth drivers, profitability, and performance metrics.

Expertise in market research, competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and business analysis to support executive-level recommendations.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across regions, entities, functions, and external partners.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage ambiguity, resolve complex business issues, and drive results through others.

Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, team development, and accountability.

Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
