Job description

Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager for Western Shelter is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals within a specific region by creating opportunities with existing customers as well as prospecting and securing new customer accounts. This person will direct and oversee Shelter sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. They will set short and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs as well as recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. They are expected to provide exceptional product knowledge and service ensuring customer satisfaction in all areas of the business. This position reports to the Western Shelter Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve and/or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Represents Western Shelter and its products in assigned geographical territory.
  • Forecast revenues on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Enhance market exposure and develop new business opportunities with current and potential customers.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers based on information from trade shows, direct mail response, business directories, web sites and other research.
  • Evaluate competitive situations and recommend appropriate tactics
  • Build and sustain relationships with customers focusing on long-term relationships.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction following order execution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them.
  • Liaise with company Production Managers, Customer Service and Shipping to ensure fulfillment of customer orders
  • Work with R&D on new product and custom orders
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on production and delivery schedules
  • Maintain and demonstrate considerable knowledge of all Company products.
  • Provide product training and service training
  • Travel to high potential customers and attend trade shows
  • As a remote position, this candidate must effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions via phone, email, Teams, Zoom, ect.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/ move up to 50 pounds of material without assistance. Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance from others.
  • Ability to sit, bend or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of available time

Qualifications
  • Requires bachelor's degree in business or equivalent training and experience
  • 2 years' experience in Protective Environments (PE) or Expeditionary Systems (ES) product sales is preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Teams
  • Formal sales and negotiation training are highly preferred
  • Able to travel internationally legally
  • Able to enter DoD installations with sponsored access at a minimum
  • Must have valid driver's license
