LEAD -ER ADMISSIONS REP/REGISTRAR
Full-time position at Corona Regional Medical Center Hospital located in Corona, Ca
Reporting to the Director of Patient Access Services this position act as liaison between registration staff and Supervisor/Manager. Report to Supervisor as to progress and capabilities of personnel. Provide direction to staff on day to day functions to ensure overall team operations runs smoothly. Assign work to staff as needed. Provide training to staff on system and registration functions. Assist in the development policy
and procedures.
The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact diplomatically and to maintain a professional demeanor with physicians, the
  • public and hospital staff at all times.
  • Ability to discuss personal and financial matters with patients and/or their representatives.
  • Good problem solving and process efficiency skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance benefits, covered services, billing, and collection procedures for all government and non-government
  • insurance programs and comical programs for acute facilities.
  • General knowledge of office procedures and ability to utilize resource in an organized manner.
  • Type 35-40 words per minute.
  • Use of computer keyboard.
  • Ability to use 10 key calculator.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
  • One year experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
  • High School diploma required
