Regional Operations Manager

Our company is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and hands-on leader to join our management team as an Operations General Manager. This position serves as the chief motivator and provides direction, mentoring, coaching, and training to the team while overseeing the overall operation of a stand-alone, service-based business.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Promote and maintain a strong safety-focused culture throughout the operation.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate and ensure all corporate training programs, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines are followed by associates.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees through hands-on leadership and example.
  • Operations Management: Oversee multiple functional areas, including Warehouse, Office Administration, Route Distribution, and Outside Sales.
  • Asset Management: Maintain oversight of company assets, including buildings, equipment, fleet, inventory, and accounts receivable.
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor accounts receivable and support collection efforts to maintain healthy customer accounts.
  • Financial Management: Maintain P&L responsibility and support budgeting, forecasting, and overall business performance.
  • Goal Setting: Establish goals, delegate responsibilities, monitor progress, and follow up to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address employee and operational concerns professionally while providing coaching and training when needed.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a strong customer-focused culture and ensure customers receive exceptional service.
  • Sales & Marketing: Support and lead sales and marketing initiatives to grow and retain the customer base.
  • Communication: Communicate professionally and effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and all levels of management.
  • Community Involvement: Represent the company positively within the community and support company involvement in local initiatives.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Promote responsible business practices and the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Essential Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Four-year degree preferred, or at least 3 years of experience as a business operating manager.
  • Business Management: Demonstrated experience with budgeting, P&L management, goal setting, and operational leadership.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Leadership Style: Hands-on leader who can motivate, coach, mentor, and develop employees by example.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner with the ability and desire to learn new industries, systems, and processes.
