About the Role

The Eastern Site Operations Lead is responsible for coordinating field operations and providing technical oversight for PrePass systems throughout the East Coast region. This role supports the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational performance of roadside technology infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and service continuity.

The position serves as a technical resource for Site Operations Technicians and works closely with internal engineering, operations, project management, and customer-facing teams. Responsibilities include coordinating field activities, supporting technical issue resolution, monitoring system performance, and ensuring operational standards are met across assigned territories.

The Site Operations team consists of highly experienced field professionals with extensive institutional knowledge and long-term tenure. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating within a collaborative technical environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

This role requires regular travel throughout the East Coast region to support field activities, system deployments, maintenance efforts, and customer engagements.

What You'll DoField Operations & Technical Support
  • Coordinate field activities and operational priorities for a team of Site Operations Technicians.
  • Support installation, maintenance, and repair activities for PrePass roadside systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex field issues.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, RF communications, and system integration issues.
  • Monitor system performance and support rapid resolution of operational disruptions.
  • Ensure field work is completed in accordance with company standards, project requirements, and established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service records, and operational reporting.
System Reliability & Infrastructure Support
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support deployment and commissioning of new roadside technology installations.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis and resolution of recurring system issues.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Support testing, validation, and acceptance activities for new technologies and infrastructure upgrades.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Serve as a technical point of contact between field personnel, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate field resources to support project schedules, service requests, and operational requirements.
  • Communicate system status, project updates, and service-related issues to relevant teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional groups to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all field activities comply with company safety policies and operational procedures.
  • Conduct site visits and field audits to verify work quality and adherence to standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, system performance, and service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements.

Requirements

QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting site operations, technical operations, intelligent transportation systems, RF communications, networking, computer systems, or related field service environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects, coordinating field teams, or providing technical oversight.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware, software, networking, and communications systems.
  • Experience supporting distributed technology infrastructure and field-deployed systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Experience coordinating and supporting geographically dispersed field resources.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
Preferred
  • Experience with transportation infrastructure, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), or roadside technology deployments.
  • Experience in construction management, highway construction, or infrastructure project coordination.
  • Knowledge of Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) systems and related technologies.
  • Background in computer hardware, networking, telecommunications, electronics, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience working with RF communications, wireless networks, or industrial control systems.
