Job description

Psychiatrist - Region 1 - Mental Health    
Title: Psychiatrist - Region 1
Location: Toledo, OH 43414.
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Hours/Week 40), No weekends/no holidays
Duration: 6+ Months (Extendable). 
Pay Rate: $150/hr- $180/hr (Depending upon experience).  

Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข    Evaluates, examines, analyzes, diagnoses & treats consumers, prescribes medication & performs in -depth psychotherapy & counseling (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification).
โ€ข    Monitors & coordinates professional & paraprofessional medical, nursing & direct care staff in areas related to psychiatric care; reviews consumer records for accuracy & completeness; recommends improvements in hospital staffing &organization.
โ€ข    Conducts & participates in lectures & seminars in psychiatry or related field for professional & paraprofessional health care staff.
Major Worker Characteristics:
โ€ข    Knowledge of medicine; psychology; sociology; anatomy; physiology. 
โ€ข    Skill in administering medication. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; interpret extensive variety of technical material in books, journals & manuals.
โ€ข    Deal with many variables & determine specific course of action; handle sensitive contacts with persons under medical care.
Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment:
Satisfactory completion of residency training program in psychiatry, as approved by the residency review committee of the American Medical Association, the committee on post-graduate education of the American Osteopathic Association or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or has been recognized as a psychiatrist by the Ohio State Medical Association or the Ohio Osteopathic Association on the basis of formal training & 5 or more yrs. of medical practice limited to psychiatry.

โ€ข    5 or more yrs. of medical practice limited to psychiatry
โ€ข    Doctoral Degree
โ€ข    Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
โ€ข    Ohio Medical License 
โ€ข    Covid vaccine or exemption letter
โ€ข    Drug Enforcement Administration certification from Ohio  
โ€ข    Medical Diploma
