The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a motivated and dependable full-time 2nd shift Cook to join our Culinary team. In this role, you'll help prepare high-quality food while working alongside a team that takes pride in consistency, presentation, and delivering great guest experiences.

Schedule & Pay

  • Starting pay: $18.00/hour, based on experience, with opportunities for advancement
  • Full-time position (30-40 hours/week)
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Weekend and holiday availability required

What You'll Do

As a Cook, you'll play an important role in delivering consistent, high-quality food across restaurant and banquet operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Set up and maintain your station before, during, and after service
  • Ensure food is prepared and plated in a timely and consistent manner
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times
  • Assist with preparation of soups, stocks, sauces, and daily specials
  • Support banquet and outlet production as needed
  • Monitor inventory and communicate needs to kitchen leadership
  • Work collaboratively with culinary team members to ensure smooth service
  • Assist with minimizing food waste and maximizing product usage
  • Follow all safety and kitchen procedures
