Shop Helper – Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc.
Location: Robert, LA
Pay: $22 - $25 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential for overnight shifts

Job Responsibilities

As a Shop Helper, you’ll play a key role in supporting the fleet service team. Your duties will include:

  • Washing trailers inside and out to maintain cleanliness and appearance
  • Safely and efficiently operating the yard truck to back up semi-trailers and move them around the yard
  • Cleaning and maintaining the shop, wash bay, and fuel island
  • Fueling equipment and assisting with the maintenance of fleet vehicles
  • Meeting standard repair times and contributing to a high-performing team environment
  • Operating company vehicles, yard truck, forklift, and shop trucks
  • Adhering to safety standards and following company policies and procedures
  • Completing additional duties as assigned to support daily operations

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ability to work varied schedules and overtime when necessary
  • Strong commitment to safety and professional standards
  • A positive, team-first attitude with a respectful demeanor toward both internal and external customers
  • Motivation to complete tasks efficiently and reliably
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must successfully complete a 40-hour Yard Truck driving course and forklift certification course
  • Basic computer skills for work order completion and time entry
