Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Local Market Manager to help build our National Recovery and Exchange Program in the Atlanta market area.

This is an entrepreneurial role, where you will be expected to build Hudson’s Refrigerant Recovery and Exchange business in your local market with the support of Hudson’s sales and marketing resources and local market playbook. As you build this business and customer base we will work with you to hire local technician support, typically including at least one Recovery Technician and one Exchange Technician

This dynamic leadership role blends business development, direct sales, hands-on refrigerant recovery and exchange work, and technician management. Initially, you will be expected to grow the business and succeed in the initial market development. Eventually you will be overseeing both Recovery and Exchange Technicians and ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth in your area.

In this role you will have P&L responsibility for your Local Area and you will participate in the growth and profitability of your area through an incentive compensation program.

The ideal candidate must have a background in sales and service, excellent leadership skills, the willingness to perform hands-on-recovery work and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position in the Houston/Atlanta Metro area.


Key responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:


Business Development & Sales

  • Prospect leads and qualify new customers for the recovery and exchange programs
  • Schedule and perform in-person visits and follow-up calls to present Hudson’s full-service recovery solutions.
  • Convert “buy-back only” or inactive customers into full-service partners.
  • Track all sales activities and recovery opportunities in CRM system.
  • Collaborate with customer service, sales and finance teams to coordinate scheduling, billing, and follow-up.

Leadership & Oversight

  • Help recruit, manage and support Recovery Technicians and Exchange Technicians, setting daily schedules, ensuring job readiness (staffing, equipment and materials), and that quality standards are met.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability to ensure consistent performance and development.
  • Monitor and report on technician performance, recovery volumes, and customer feedback.
  • Act as the go-to field leader and liaison between technicians and corporate operations.

Recovery Operations

  • Operate a small-format recovery truck and perform on-site refrigerant recovery for a variety of applications
  • Step in to assist with cylinder exchanges when additional support is needed.
  • Ensure all work follows Hudson SOPs, EPA regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Submit completed work orders, BOLs, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as a face of Hudson in the field, building trust through professionalism and service excellence.

Required skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigerant recovery, or environmental services.
  • Proven track record in outside sales or business development.
  • Experience in managing field service staff required
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 40/SST certification, or willingness to obtain certification, is highly preferred
  • DOT card required or able to be obtained within 14 days of hiring
  • Commercial Drivers License HazMat endorsement preferred
  • Comfortable with physical labor and operating recovery machines and cylinder handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and customer service skills.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient using digital work orders, CRM tools, and mobile apps.
  • Clean driving record and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
