What We Offer
The Extrusion Operator operates and troubleshoots plant equipment, machines and lines. You will receive training to perform the daily activities associated with the specialty film production process. The starting pay for this role is $29.24 + shift differential.
This is a full time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).
You must follow standard operating procedures and ensure that health, safety and compliance is your highest priority. This role allows you to learn more about our plant operations and can open the door to career opportunities with increased responsibilities.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Produce quality materials for customers
  • Operate, maintain and shutdown production equipment ( blender, resin dryer, 4.5 extruder, take-off tower, die, slitter, trim winder and film winder)
  • Start up and shut down equipment including pre-start up safety interlock review
  • Keep machine fed with resin mixture by accurately calculating formulation, adding, blending and drying the batch resin components
  • Observe and adjust process parameters in ensure proper product specifications
  • Record process and product information, test samples, complete order paperwork
  • Make quality judgments about film produced
  • Maintain equipment, including teardown and reassembly of the extruder screw and die

What You Offer
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be willing to work a 12 hour shift; Positions are available on night shift (7pm-7am).Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50lbs of weight, climb stairs, lift and pull 10lbs of weight in the overhead position, work in ambient room temperature of 100 degrees, and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the extrusion of films.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Fork truck certification.
  • Hoisting and rigging experience.
  • Working knowledge of computers and SAP software
