Position Details:

Weโ€™re hiring for FLSD positions.

  • Pay: $27/hour
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 (ONLY Alliance New Hires are Eligible, Restrictions Apply)
  • Location: New York Cityโ€™s premier commercial properties
  • Schedule: Full Time & Part Time / All Shifts

What Youโ€™ll Do: As a Fire & Life Safety Director with Alliance Security, youโ€™ll be the go-to leader for fire and life safety operations at Class A commercial sites. Your role will be crucial in ensuring preparedness, compliance, and rapid response to any emergency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Safety Contact: Lead fire and life safety operations across your assigned property
  • Emergency Planning: Develop, implement, and continuously refine fire safety and emergency response plans
  • Conduct Fire Drills & Training: Run regular fire drills, conduct comprehensive safety inspections, and train staff
  • System Oversight: Ensure the functionality and compliance of fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Coordinate with building management, tenants, and emergency agencies during crises
  • Regulation Compliance: Stay informed about NYC fire safety regulations and implement updates as necessary
  • Lead During Emergencies: Act decisively in emergencies, providing calm and effective leadership
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of safety activities, drills, and incident reports

In addition, youโ€™ll assist with general Security Officer duties as required, helping to ensure a comprehensive safety approach.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • F-89 Certification (required; valid for at least 6 months beyond hire date)
  • NYS Security Guard License (required; valid for at least 3 months beyond hire date)
  • Experience: At least 2 years as a Fire & Life Safety Director in NYC commercial property
  • In-Depth Knowledge: Familiar with NYC fire safety codes and commercial building systems
  • Leadership Skills: Strong decision-making, calm under pressure, and excellent communication abilities
  • Customer-Centric Approach: A friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with the public and stakeholders
