Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & Cost Analysis
  • Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates for commercial and government construction projects.
  • Analyze historical data and trends for improved forecast accuracy.
  • Review subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure competitiveness and alignment.
  • Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Bid Preparation & Strategy
  • Lead end-to-end bid process from scope review to final submission.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure realistic and executable estimates.
  • Maintain clear documentation and support rationale for bid pricing.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and trade partners to clarify scopes and assumptions.
  • Present estimates and key risk factors to company leadership and PM teams.
Operational Efficiency
  • Refine estimating processes and integrate software tools to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain and update cost databases with current market rates and trends.
  • Conduct post-mortem reviews to refine future estimating accuracy.
Team Oversight
  • Create scopes for all disciplines and manage bid schedules.
  • Develop high-level project timelines and assign internal estimating tasks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of construction estimating experience, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and estimating platforms such as ProEst, Sage Estimating, Building Connected or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and market conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage risk and meet strategic goals through detailed forecasting.
