Staff Accountant
Wilmington, Ohio

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will support the Heavy Maintenance billing and revenue functions by managing project-based financial activity, ensuring accurate reporting, and facilitating cross-departmental communication. This role requires strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compile project data for weekly status reporting and invoicing.
  • Oversee the complete billing cycle, from invoice preparation through final payment.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue recognition.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customer representatives and internal accounting personnel.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting team and Heavy Maintenance Project Managers.
  • Analyze and report on project financial and performance metrics.
  • Conduct special studies and assist in developing or refining accounting methods and procedures.
  • Coordinate accounting-related matters with other departments and partner accounting teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to the A/R Analyst as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; OR an associate degree in a related field and 3-4 years of applicable experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience within the airline or MRO industry.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
