Spring Reel Technician / Electrical-Mechanical Assembler
Location: Omaha, NE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, First Shift
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

About the Opportunity
A well-established industrial manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Spring Reel Technician / Electrical-Mechanical Assembler to join its growing production team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with mechanical and electrical components, take pride in producing quality products, and are looking for a long-term career opportunity with a company known for employee retention and internal growth.
The ideal candidate will have prior assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a demonstrated history of reliability and longevity with previous employers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Install wiring and electrical components using established assembly procedures.
  • Operate fabrication and assembly equipment including cut-off saws, drill presses, and hand tools.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and production documents.
  • Perform measurements using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring devices.
  • Connect and route wiring according to color codes and assembly requirements.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and communicate concerns to supervisors or engineering personnel.
  • Participate in testing, adjustment, and verification of finished products.
  • Support workplace organization, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or industrial production experience.
  • Experience operating cut-off saws, drill presses, and similar shop equipment.
  • Ability to use measuring tools accurately.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Stable work history with demonstrated reliability and tenure in previous positions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Soldering experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or equipment assembly environments.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
