Job description

The Public Health Nursing Consultant 1 will conduct medical record review of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) cases to ensure complete capture of case information. Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining status of all infant medical record requests in REDCap
• Requesting, reviewing, and collating infant and maternal medical records from facilities using a developed algorithm
• Reviewing and abstracting assigned electronic medical records
• Working closely with the NAS Surveillance Team to identify issues and ensure data processes are complete and accurate
• Maintaining partnerships with medical records office staff and providing feedback as it relates to process improvements.
